Today I am delighted to be sharing my review of Girls Who Lie as part of the blog tour. My review is written with thanks to Anne Cater for inviting me to take part.

Review:

After reading A Creak On The Stairs last year, I had hoped there would be more to come from this author and I wasn’t disappointed. It was great to catch up with Elma again. She has a wonderful relationship with Saevar and is managing her own demons and I enjoyed reading as these aspects of her character developed.

There are lots of suspects and the characters are developed so well that I had no chance of guessing who had done what and nearly everyone has reason or opportunity to be involved. There are several shorter chapters told in first person. The reader gets to know the character who narrates these chapters really well and I went through several emotions: anger, sadness and sympathy as I read them. 

I’m finding it really hard to write this review without spoilers but I am in awe of the plotting in Girls Who Lie. I loved that there are so many small details that seem insignificant in the beginning but later make sense as the plot comes together. Towards the end of the novel, the tension really goes up a notch and I really wanted to know what had happened to Marianna.
