Kim Nash: Finding Family At The Cornish Cove

Today I’m joining the blog tour for Finding Family At The Cornish Cove. My review is written with thanks to Rachel Gilbey at Rachel’s Random Resources for inviting me on the tour and to Boldwood Books for my copy of the book.

Blurb:

For years, Gemma has been running her late mother’s café with devotion, and when an opportunity comes to buy out her next-door neighbour and expand, she jumps at the chance.

She knows she will do her mother proud – keep her legacy going strong – but deep down she knows there’s still something missing.

But sometimes family are those you choose, or those who choose you! With a growing community of supporters cheering Gemma on, will she really spend the rest of her life alone?

And with some new faces at her blossoming bistro, perhaps romance may also be on the cards?

Review:

After finishing Hopeful Hearts At The Cornish Cove, I was desperate to be back with the residents of Driftwood Bay, and I was particularly excited to be able to read Gemma’s story, as I was keen to get to know her better. Kim Nash writes in the first person and this really helped me to understand Gemma’s feelings and motivations. She has created a character with wonderful depth and I really wanted to keep reading to make sure she got her happy ending.

It isn’t just Gemma who captured my heart in Finding Family At The Cornish Cove. All the characters are beautifully crafted and they have a great sense of humanity which helped me to relate to them even when they make mistakes. They are brilliantly observed and I hope some of them pop up in a future instalment of this series!

Kim Nash is brilliant at writing comedy scenes, but in Finding Family At The Cornish Cove , she also touches on some more serious issues, such as grief, infertility and relationships. There is something in this novel for everyone to relate to and the author writes about it in such a heartfelt way.

I can’t wait to see where this series goes next.

Finding Family At The Cornish Cove is available from Amazon.
