#MusicMonday #82 – I won’t apologise for chasing paradise

Welcome back to another #MusicMonday! It’s not about books, but about music, and I’m looking forward to presenting you with a taste of my playlist. It’s the brainchild of Drew from The Tattooed Book Geek, but my inspiration comes from the lovely Claire from A Knight’s Reads. Every Monday, I’ll be choosing a song to share with you. The Spotify playlist is here and it will be updated as I go along.

I mentioned a few weeks ago that I’ve been contributing to weekly playlists as part of a chat group to which I belong. This has exposed a black hole in my music knowledge and I’ve really enjoyed discovering music which is new to me. I’ve decided to share a track from one of the recent playlists today.

Vistas: Fade

Alone, is this how it goes?
You’re reaching out but your fingertips gone cold
Tonight, I’m terrified
But I won’t apologize for chasing paradise
Because it’s you…
That pulls me into reality
Just come alive and then we die easy
Just come alive and tell me ya’ need me yeah
Is this happiness, maybe
Just come alive and say what I can’t say
Just come alive and tell me it’s gonna be okay
I’ll need somebody when baby you know that I’ll fade away

Funny how it goes,
In this thing called Rock ‘n Roll
You’ve seen a thousand faces
But never felt more alone
So just let it ride
Try to see the light
‘Cause holding on is a lot like letting go
Because it’s you…
That pulls me into reality
Just come alive and then we die easy
Just come alive and tell me ya’ need me yeah
Is this happiness, maybe
Just come alive and say what I can’t say
Just come alive and tell me it’s gonna be okay
I’ll need somebody when baby you know that I’ll fade away

You…
That pulls me into reality
Just come alive and then we die easy
Just come alive and tell me ya’ need me yeah
Is this happiness, maybe
Just come alive and say what I can’t say
Just come alive and tell me it’s gonna be okay
I’ll need somebody when baby you know that I’ll fade away
