#MusicMonday #85 – Is it not just shouting at machines?

Welcome back to another #MusicMonday! It’s not about books, but about music, and I’m looking forward to presenting you with a taste of my playlist. It’s the brainchild of Drew from The Tattooed Book Geek, but my inspiration comes from the lovely Claire from A Knight’s Reads. Every Monday, I’ll be choosing a song to share with you. The Spotify playlist is here and it will be updated as I go along.

You’ll see from my reviews that I recently enjoyed reading Whatever Will Be Will Be: A Matter Of Life And Football by Felix White. He’s known as the guitarist from the Maccabees, but he also has a new band called 86TVs which naturally I had to check out, so I’m sharing one of their tracks with you today.

86TVs: Modern Life

Modern life, is it not just shouting at machines?
Modern life, is it not just shouting at machines?

But I’m not receiving anything

Modified, lit up by the screen
Modern life, one step closer to the dream

But I’m not receiving anything

Modern life, is it not just shouting at machines?
Modified, one step closer to the dream

But I’m not receiving anything

Songwriters: Hugo White / Felix White / James Ross Morrison / William White

Until next time!
