Today I’m back with the Chris Carter blogathon with my review of Hunting Evil. It’s written with thanks to Tracy Fenton for inviting me to take part.
Review:
Every story has a beginning . . .
They met for the first time in college. Two of the brightest minds ever to graduate from the prestigious Stanford University. They met again in Quantico, Virginia. Robert Hunter has become the head of the LAPD’s Ultra Violent Crimes Unit. Lucien Folter has become the most prolific and dangerous serial killer in FBI history.
The FBI caught Lucien. He’s been in prison for years. But Lucien has just escaped. And he’s angry. He’s going to make the person who put him away suffer.
That person . . . is Robert Hunter.
And every story must come to an end . . .
Review:
I can’t believe we have reached the tenth stop on the Chris Carter blogathon. I’ve loved every single one of the novels and Hunting Evil is just as brilliant, although it is slightly different to the rest of the series in that we have already met the antagonist and we know he is committing the crimes as they happen. I would therefore recommend that you read the series from the beginning and you will not regret it.
Lucien Folter is one of the most evil, calculated and twisted perpetrators I have ever met in literature. Chris Carter describes him and his horrific crimes in such detail that he genuinely sent chills down my spine and his crimes were incredibly creative, but very shocking to me. As always, the graphic scenes won’t be for everyone, but I love how it takes me right to the heart of the action.
The whole of Hunting Evil is full of tension as Hunter, Garcia and the team try to locate Lucien. I love the way the tension ebbs and flows throughout the story, peaking at some very dangerous moments and leaving me holding my breath. I could not stop turning the pages!
I cannot wait to see where this series goes next!
Hunting Evil is available from Amazon.
