TA Belshaw: Tracy’s Celebrity Hot Mail

Today I’m joining the blog tour for Tracy’s Celebrity Hot Mail. My review is written with thanks to Zoe O’Farrell for inviting me on the blog tour and to the author for my copy of the book.

Blurb:

TRACY’S BACK!

After being replaced by a dumb terminal at the office, Tracy teams up with über-iffy agent, Shayne Slider for an assault on the bottom end of the celebrity market. Tracy’s quest to become a C-list celebrity takes her from in-store promotions at her local supermarket, to a celebrity-filled event on the outskirts of Harrogate. Despite her hectic lifestyle, Tracy still finds time to email her best friend, Emma with all the latest news about her friends, family and new-found showbiz acquaintances.

No one dishes the dirt quite like Tracy.

Review:

It’s wonderful to be back with Tracy! Once again, she is absolutely hilarious and many of the situations she gets herself into made me snort with laughter! She often gets the wrong end of the stick and this gives us some funny moments too.

Most of the characters from the previous book are back and it was great to catch up with them too. We are also introduced to Tracy’s Gran, who is not accepted by all members of Tracy’s family and is quite outspoken in her views. She definitely brings some humour to the story and I loved how Tracy and her Gran often bounced off each other.

Tracy’s Celebrity Hot Mail is set during 2012 and 2013. This means some of the references are a bit dated (Who knows what Abi Titmuss is up to these days?) but I did enjoy reading Tracy’s take on the newsworthy events around the time, including the London Olympics, Margaret Thatcher’s death and Prince George’s birth.

There has been a new book in the Tracy series releases this week, so I’m looking forward to reading more and seeing what she gets up to next!

Tracy’s Celebrity Hot Mail is available from Amazon.
