TA Williams: Never Too Late

Happy Publication Day to TA Williams with Never Too Late! I’m joining the blog tour today with thanks to Rachel Gilbey at Rachel’s Random Resources for inviting me on the tour and to the publisher for my copy of the book.

Blurb:

A second chance to realise her dreams…

A classically trained pianist, Steph works as a recording engineer for a small studio when she’s offered the job of a lifetime – travel to the Italian Riviera to help world-famous band, Royalty, record their reunion album after a decades-long hiatus.

Steph could definitely do with the distraction. Her boyfriend – who also happens to be her boss – is increasingly unreliable and erratic, and she’s awaiting news from her doctor after a recent biopsy. So an all-expenses-paid trip to Italy is the perfect escape.

What she doesn’t expect is an instant connection with Rob, the son of Royalty’s lead singer. With her career – and her heart – at a crossroads, what path will Steph follow?

A wonderfully escapist romance for fans of Sue Moorcoft, Rosanna Ley and Erica James.

Review:

After a recent journey into cosy crime, TA Williams is back with a romance. Despite not often reading romances, I always look out for TA Williams books as I love the way he transports us to foreign countries and introduces us to new friends, both canine and human. Never Too Late is no different and I was taken straight away to the streets of Lerici and instantly felt like part of the Bailey family.

The central character of Never Too Late is Steph. She instantly comes across as very down to earth and this is what made me warm to her. Her journey is not without ups and downs and there are some serious concerns for her in this story, but I was rooting for her the whole way through and I wanted her to find happiness in whatever form it took.

In the Bailey family, Never Too Late has some amazing supporting characters. Life is certainly never dull around them and the author has their dynamic just right so that it is recognisable to most readers. Having spent life on the road in a band, there are plenty of stories to entertain us! The background stories for each person are also well developed and this helped me to connect with them.

I loved the premise of Never Too Late as it felt more glamorous than many other romantic comedies. I love going to gigs so the rock star aspect of the novel really appealed to me and I was interested to see how this would work out for Steph.

Never Too Late is available from Amazon.
