#MusicMonday #24 – I could never be malicious, though I seem so bittersweet

Welcome back to another #MusicMonday! It’s not about books, but about music, and I’m looking forward to presenting you with a taste of my playlist. It’s the brainchild of Drew from The Tattooed Book Geek, but my inspiration comes from the lovely Claire from A Knight’s Reads.  Every Monday, I’ll be choosing a song to share with you. The Spotify playlist is here and it will be updated as I go along.

On Friday, I went to see Texas. As usual, I’m writing this before the gig, but I am very excited for it! We’re back in the 90s for one week only for my favourite Texas song.

Texas: Black Eyed Boy

No I don’t lack ambition
Can’t you see what I hate
That it’s you who is sinking
Locked behind iron gates

You should know
You’re falling into fiction
I can tell
You’re on some foolish mission

You’re black eyed soul
You should know
That there’s nowhere else to go
My black eyed boy
You will find
Your own space and time

You call me superstitious
Tie me up with your deceit
I could never be malicious
Though I seem so bittersweet

You should know
You’re falling into fiction
I can tell
You’re on some foolish mission

You’re black eyed soul
You should know
That there’s nowhere else to go
My black eyed boy
You will find
Your own space and time

Black eyed soul
You should know
That there’s nowhere else to go
My black eyed boy
You will find
Your own space and
Time

Yeh, you should know
You’re falling into fiction
I can tell
You’re on some foolish mission

You’re black eyed soul
You should know
That there’s nowhere else to go
My black eyed boy
You will find
Your own space and time

Black eyed soul
You should know
That there’s nowhere else to go
My black eyed boy
You will find
Your own space and time

Black eyed soul
You should know
That there’s nowhere else to go
My black eyed boy
You will find
Your own space and time
