It’s better late than never, right? Today is the first day of June, which means it’s the start of a brand new 20 Books Of Summer challenge! This year, Cathy has handed over her hosting reins to Annabel at AnnaBookBel and Emma at Words And Peace, with huge thanks to you both for taking over the challenge. The rules are mostly the same: I’ve picked 20 books I want to read between now and 31st August. You can change the list as you go along.
I always feel a little embarrassed sharing my 20 Books Of Summer list, as it invariably includes books I should have read ages ago and books in series where I’m really badly behind. This year, I have tried to make a dent in my Netgalley shelf and Kindle Unlimited shelf. I’ve included a few short ones, but I have included my next read in the Seven Sisters series to hopefully balance it out.
So without further ado, here is my list:
Rhiannon Barnsley: The Clique
CF Barrington: When We Were Killers
Alan Bennett: Killing Time
Mark Billingham: Death Message
Chris Brookmyre: The Cracked Mirror
SA Cosby: Razorblade Tears
Fiona Cummins: When I Was Ten
AA Dhand: The Chemist
SM Govett: Believe
Araminta Hall: Imperfect Women
Alice Hunter: The Perfect Psychopath
Cara Hunter: In The Dark
Michelle Kidd: Sixteen Carved Pieces
Fiona Leitch: A Cornish Recipe For Murder
Michelle McNamara: I’ll Be Gone In The Dark
Liz Mistry: Deadly Reckoning
Georgina Moore: River Of Stars
Bob Mortimer: The Satsuma Complex
Lucinda Riley: The Pearl Sister
Matt Wesolowski: Don’t Call Mum

I look forward to seeing all your challenges and taking part in this year’s challenge!
No need to be embarrassed, my list includes books I meant to read years ago too. Here’s hoping this is the year we cross a few of them off our list 🤞
