As always, I’m writing (and posting) this post in the knick of time to announce my participation in the 20 Books Of Summer challenge. This year it’s hosted by Annabel at AnnaBookBel.
The rules remain the same: to choose 20 Books from your TBR to read between 1st June and 31st August. It is flexible though: you can change the titles during the challenge and you can read more or fewer books for the challenge if this suits you better.
For those of you who are familiar with my 20 Books Of Summer challenges from previous years, it will not be a surprise to you that my list for 2026 contains books I’ve been meaning to read for ages and books in series where I’m quite (very) far behind. I’ve also included some titles on my Netgalley and Kindle Unlimited shelves in order to make a dent in them, including some more recent titles I’ve been itching to read.
This is my list for 2026:
Mark Billingham: Blood Line
John Boyne: The Heart’s Invisible Furies
MW Craven: Black Summer
Alice Feeney: Daisy Darker
Eleanor Goymer: Ask Me What I’m Reading
Ronan Hession: Leonard & Hungry Paul
Michelle Kidd:. Twenty Years Buried
Ella King: Dear Darling
RS Leonard: Murder At The Lunatics’ Ball
Gillian McAllister: Caller Unknown
Michelle McNamara: I’ll Be Gone In The Dark
Liz Nugent: The Truth About Ruby Cooper
Frances Quinn: The Scandalous Ladies Football Club
Lucinda Riley: The Moon Sister
Lisa Rizden:. When The Cranes Fly South
LJ Ross: Heavenfield
Josh Silver: Fruit Fly
Matson Taylor: Roman Mornings
VA Vasquez: The Death Row Club

I’m looking forward to reading my choices and seeing what other bloggers have chosen!
