TA Belshaw: Tracy’s Hot Mail

Today I’m joining the blog tour for Tracy’s Hot Mail. My review is written with thanks to Zoe O’Farrell for inviting me on the blog tour and to the author for my copy of the book.

Blurb:

Look Out! Tracy’s About

Tracy’s the new girl in the office. A sassy nineteen year old with an eye for cloned fashion and an ear for the latest gossip, she reveals all in a series of emails written to her friend, Emma. Tracy doesn’t spare anyone’s blushes as she dishes the dirt on friends, family, and foes. If something is worth hearing, it is worth telling…Everyone gets the Tracy Treatment, her benefit-fiddling father, her porn obsessed boyfriend, even her pocket billiards champion boss. Not forgetting the office’s serial bum pincher and his latest conquest, the office tart. Behind Tracy’s wide eyed innocence and reassuring smile lies a muck spreader of the highest calibre. No secret is safe.

Review:

I’ve never read anything by this author before, but I shall certainly read more in the future! I loved the character of Tracy. I don’t want to speak for TA Belshaw, but I imagine he has a very different personality to Tracy, yet he got inside her head so well and made me feel as though I was reading emails from a friend.

Tracy’s Hot Mail takes the form of emails, which Tracy writes to her friend, Emma. We never see Emma’s replies, so everything is one sided and this leaves us to imagine situations where Tracy may have misunderstood or failed to read between the lines. I was often laughing out loud at the things she did and the observations she made.

This book is very short and I could easily have read more! The ending sets us up perfectly for the sequel and I can’t wait to see what Tracy does next!

Tracy’s Hot Mail is available from Amazon.
