Review:

I absolutely love this series and I was delighted to be given the opportunity to spend some more time with Elms, Saevar, and their family and colleagues. The Last Tenant is the sixth book in the series, and I really would recommend reading the series in order as Elma and Saevar have a number of compelling story arcs that should be followed from the beginning to be fully understood. I loved how this developed in this instalment. 

The Last Tenant has a complex plot that Eva Björg Aegisdottir has weaved together brilliantly. Each chapter has a different narrator, and this gives the reader the perfect opportunity to see the story from all the different angles. It meant that I was never quite sure who was telling the truth and who to trust, and the intrigue kept me completely invested in the story until the end. This is heightened by the small community in which Elma lives and works, as everyone knows each other so the gossip is rife! Eva Björg Aegisdottir has created this atmosphere so well and it really drew me into the narrative. 

As the different parts of the story come together, the tension mounts and I really wanted to find out how everything would be resolved. I loved the surprises that kept coming right until the very end.
